The History of Autistic Pride Day
Autistic Pride Day was first celebrated in 2005 by the organization Aspies for Freedom. The day was established to promote the idea that autistic individuals should be proud of their identity and to counteract the stigma often associated with Autistic. The rainbow infinity symbol, representing diversity and infinite possibilities, is often used as a symbol of Autistic pride.
